As clearly suggested by its name that this so called intelligence is possessed by machines so that they ,in some way ,could be able to work and react like humans. It is more of a way of designing a computer or a software that thinks intelligently and has the same intelligence as humans do have. Some of the activities included in the context are speech recognition ,voice recognition ,problem solving etc. It was founded by Herbert Simon and Allen Newell the famous economists of those their times while they were working on human skills of how we solve the problems no matter how complex they are.
