CLASSIFICATION OF MUSCLES
A considered fact in context of muscles is that half the weight of body is due to muscles and these are indeed a necessity for human body. They are also called vertebrate muscles.
Muscles can be further classified in 3 categories :
* Skeletal
* Cardiac
* Smooth
Skeletal muscles specifications
These muscles types are mostly found in bone attachments known as tendons and are under control of somatic nervous system and they can also be called energy hub because of the persistence of multiple mitochodria energy packets. They are under control of conscious mind i.e.they are voluntary muscles and we can control them at our will. They function to support the movement of body.
Cardiac muscle specifications
This muscle type is more of a independent like since they are involuntary straited muscles and cannot be controlled by our consciousness. They are only found striped in the walls of the heart constituting the main tissues of the particular area and only because of this fact they are also called heart muscles or myocardium.
Their major function is to pump blood throughout the circulatory system.
Smooth muscle specifications
So called as they are non-straited involuntary muscle type mainly found in inner lining of many hollow organs of human body like bladder , uterus , stomach etc and are responsible for many 'housekeeping' functions of our body such as pushing food from stomach , pumping blood in arteries (their function in here differs from that of cardiac muscles) , pushing urine from bladder and many more.
These are further of 2 types :
# Single unit smooth muscles
# Multi unit smooth muscles
